Space Industrial Domain Workshop

The Space Industrial Domain Workshop took place on June 12th at Boeing Aerospace Spain, with both in-person and online participation. During the event, discussions focused on the applications of Artificial Intelligence in the aerospace sector, with presentations on ongoing innovations and the future outlook for the industry. Experts from companies such as Boeing Aerospace Spain, Capgemini, and VTT, along with partners from the Space Industrial Domain ENFIELD project, shared their advancements and discussed AI use cases, including green alternatives to regression algorithms and neural networks, self-supervised learning for cloud detection, and the role of AI in Earth Observation for a sustainable environment. The event also covered practical Boeing use cases, such as anticipating satellite communication loss and detecting space debris. The workshop provided a platform for alignment and discussion of project tasks, with breaks for networking and idea exchange among participants.
